 Description: Brain research confirms the power of mindfulness to affect a
 nd change our level of well‐being and happiness. Mindfulness triggers br
 ainwave patterns associated with relaxed alertness. It increases serotonin
  levels\, activating positive emotions. Mindfulness also strengthens aware
 ness of our internal state\, which increases empathy and counters the “f
 ight or flight” response of the brain and helps us relax. Mindfulness ev
 en strengthens the immune system\, improves cardiovascular health\, and le
 ssens chronic pain.\nIn this on‐going class series\, participants learn 
 and experience various mindfulness practices that lead to greater well‐b
 eing and happiness. Each class includes a guided meditation in mindfulness
  based stress reduction. A regular deep relaxation and mindfulness practic
 e has a positive impact on all aspects of our lives\, including the qualit
