SUMMARY:Online | Loving Kindness: Opening the Heart and Releasing Negative
 Emotions
DESCRIPTION:Part 3 of the Mindfulness series \nMindfulness is the practice
of being present to one’s experience with loving attention\, which stud
ies have shown helps reduce stress and promotes well‐being. In this clas
s students will learn about the teaching of Loving Kindness and participat
e in guided meditations that help open the heart. This practice encourages
us to be kind towards everyone\, beginning with ourselves. Loving Kindnes
s meditation helps to release negative emotions\, such as shame\, guilt\,
anger\, fear and anxiety. If practiced regularly\, this meditation leads t
o an increased sense of peace and happiness within oneself. A private and
quiet space is recommended for participation in this class as well as a bl
anket or yoga mat\, chair and loose‐fitting clothes.\n\nSpecial Guest P
