 ‐Being\n\nDescription: Decades of research illustrate that kinship place
 ments reduce the trauma associated with removal and improve youth’s outc
 omes. Because of this\, Child and Family Well‐Being (CFWB) is creating a
  “kin‐first culture” and now places nearly half of children in out
 ‐of‐home care with kin (relatives and non‐related extended family me
 mbers).\nAll youth\, regardless of age and circumstance\, desire a positiv
 e and lifelong connection to family. This is especially true of youth who 
 have been removed from their parents of origin. So\, how can Resource Pare
 nts help youth remain connected to their families? This presentation will 
 highlight data that supports the benefits of kinship care\, to include liv
 ed experience experts who will share perspectives from their own journey. 
 The presentation will also include mechanisms for Resource Parents to best
  support their youth’s relationships with kin\, which may happen within 
 complex family structures.\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated
