Even some “evidence‐based” parenting programs teach tactics that are not suppo rted by current research! Join us to receive criteria for evaluating “go od” parenting advice\, discover which popular or common parenting practi ces “work” well in the short run but can create huge problems long‐t erm\, and learn a simple “prevention formula” you can use to prevent o r stop problematic behavior while fostering internal motivation.\nThe Fost er-Adoptive Parents Toolshop® training series is a comprehensive 30+ hour evidence-based\, trauma informed parenting curriculum for foster and kins hip caregivers and adoptive parents. The entire series will be offered ov er the next 8 months\, September 2022\, June 2023 and will be taught by th e curriculum’s author Jody Johnston Pawel\, LSW\, CFLE\, CTSS.\nWhile ea ch individual workshop is valuable as a stand-alone workshop\, when combin ed they create a parenting system called The Universal Blueprint® for Par enting Success. You can use this universal system to prevent common parent ing challenges and plan personalized responses and solutions to those that arise\, based on the child\, circumstance\, and family involved. The seri es offers an overview of the system and its tools\, plus the in-depth wor kshops in order\, so they build on each other.\nDon’t worry if you can ’t take them all\, you can take one\, some or as many as you wish!
