 egivers supporting foster and adopted youth in California. This engaging w
 orkshop explores how trauma\, loss\, and early adversity can impact a youn
 g person’s developing brain and influence behavior\, emotions\, and over
 all well-being. Participants will gain a clear understanding of California
 ’s laws\, safeguards\, and guidelines surrounding the use of psychotropi
 c medications for youth in care—ensuring decisions are safe\, informed\,
  and youth-centered. The training also highlights effective alternative in
 terventions\, trauma-responsive strategies\, and a wide range of supportiv
 e resources available to caregivers. Leave feeling informed\, empowered\, 
 and better equipped to advocate for the health and healing of the children
  and teens you support.\n\nLori Switanowski\, LMFT\, has over 30 years of 
 experience supporting children and families. An adoptive mother\, FKCE Pro
