 In this class\, students will be introduced to gratitude practices as a me
 ans to Awakening Joy and Happiness. Gratitude is a particularly potent all
 y in awakening joy as it helps expand the mind as well as the heart. With 
 a grateful heart\, we have a larger container and space to hold the diffic
 ulties we encounter. Gratitude is a way of saying YES to life\, seeing wha
 t is good as well as dealing with the things that need our attention. One 
 of the main effects of practicing gratitude is that our "appreciation rad
 ar" is out much more consistently and we start seeing what is good in our
