 August\, November &amp\; December **\nAn opportunity to meet with other fo
 ster/adoptive families to share experiences\, discuss the foster/adoption 
 process\, and support each other while awaiting a foster/adoptive placemen
 t.\nGroup Leader: Rhonda Oliver\n\nTopic:  As a parent or caregiver of a
  child or youth who has a known or suspected history of being sexually ab
 used\, you may feel confused about the impact of the abuse and uncertain a
 bout how you can help. However\, it is important to understand that childr
 en and youth who have been abused need to feel safe and loved in nurturing
  homes. As a parent or caregiver\, you can play a central role in your chi
 ld’s healing process\, as well as in “building resilience\,” which s
 trengthens your child’s ability to adapt to or cope with adversity. This
  class will discuss normal sexual development\, the special needs of sexua
 lized children\, recommended treatment for sexually abused children\, and
  accessing resources that can help in your child’s healing process.\n***
 Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.\n Intern
 et access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to
  attend.\nFor our support group meetings\, all participants must have thei
 r cameras on\, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This
  requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among
  participants\, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our communit
 y. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras o
 n will not be able to join the support group sessions.\nWe kindly request 
 that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy
