  Harvard University\, a child who is living in an environment with support
 ive relationships and consistent routines is more likely to develop well
 ‐ functioning biological systems\, including brain circuits\, that promo
 te positive development and lifelong health. However\, children who feel t
 hreatened or unsafe may develop physiological responses and coping behavio
 rs that are attuned to the harsh conditions they are experiencing at the t
 ime\, at the long‐ term expense of physical and mental well‐being\, se
 lf-regulation\, and effective learning. Join us to learn more about this
