 sitive discipline\, the importance of brain structure and development in e
 arly childhood\, and how to care for babies in the Child Welfare System.\n
 Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal\n\nTopic: It is important to know that devel
 opmental milestones are not met by age\; they are developed by experiences
 . For children who have experienced abuse and neglect\, emotional\, social
 \, cognitive\, and physical development may be delayed due to a lack of ca
 re and interaction. In this series\, we will look at development within 6 
 age groups. What it should look like\, how you can help with development\,
  and the resources available to help.\n\n 	Year 1-3- The first three years
  of life are a critical period of neurological\, emotional\, and social g
 rowth. Let’s talk about how to meet the needs of our toddlers.\n\n***Ple
 ase Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet 
 access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to at
 tend.\nFor our support group meetings\, all participants must have their c
 ameras on\, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This re
 quirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among pa
 rticipants\, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community.
