 sitive discipline\, the importance of brain structure and development in e
 arly childhood\, and how to care for babies in the Child Welfare System.\n
 Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal\n\nTopic: It is important to know\, develop
 mental milestones are not met by age\; they are developed by experiences. 
 For children who have experienced abuse and neglect\, emotional\, social\,
  cognitive and physical development may be delayed due to a lack of care a
 nd interaction. In this series\, we will look at development within 6 age 
 groups. What it should look like\, how you can help with development and t
 he resources available to help.\n\n 	First Year- the first year of life is
  crucial to brain development. Let’s talk about how to meet the needs of
  our infants.\n\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoo
 m platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smart
 phone is required to attend.\nFor our support group meetings\, all partici
 pants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whether they are seeking
  credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement 
 and connection among participants\, fostering a more supportive atmosphere
  within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate 
 with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
 \nWe kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual back
