Online | New! La Mesa Support Group: Establishing a Level Foundation for Life – Mental Health Begins in Early Childhood

07/14/2021 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Type of Class

Meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month

Support Group Leader: Dannette Shevlin

July Topic: According to research, significant mental health problems can and do occur in young children. Children who experience toxic stress early in life can have damage to the architecture of their developing brain and can increase the likelihood of significant mental health problems either early or later in life. Join us to learn how early prevention strategies and efforts to identify and treat emergent mental health concerns can be psychologically beneficial and cost‐effective rather than treating them later when emotional difficulties have become more serious at a later age.

Registration will close on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 7am
