SUMMARY:In Person | Turning Dreams into Degrees
DESCRIPTION:This workshop aims to empower caregivers to discuss the value o
 f higher education with the youth in their care and provide ideas for how 
 they can play an active role in supporting their youth to college. Because
  when they do\, research shows that youth are 4 times more likely to pursu
 e higher education. For caregivers with youth in middle school or in the e
 arly high school grades\, college can seem so far into the future that it 
 can take secondary importance to more immediate concerns. Caregivers and y
 outh will learn from campus foster youth program staff the significance of
  early college exploration\, preparation\, and  key steps to help turn th
 eir dreams into degrees\nThis training is open to all Caregivers and they 
 are encouraged to come with their Youth in 6th to 12th grade. \n** In the
