 ogram &amp\; San Diego Youth Services.\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nGuest Speaker: As
 trid Castro\, Adoptee - Founder of Adoption Mosaic \nCastro is the founde
 r and CEO of Adoption Mosaic. Her lifelong passion for adoption stems from
  her own experience of being adopted from Colombia at the age of four\, al
 ong with her older sister. In December 2012\, Astrid reunited with her bir
 th family in Colombia\, a journey she shared in The Oregonian. Through her
  personal and professional experiences\, Astrid brings a unique perspectiv
 e to adoption education\, creating spaces that foster connection\, underst
 anding\, and meaningful dialogue.\nDescription: Led by an experienced prof
 essional in adoption\, this workshop will provide practical advice and sup
 port strategies for parents\, professionals and other members of the adopt
 ion constellation at every stage of an adoptee’s life. It will explore h
 ow being separated from birth parents aﬀects adoptees at diﬀerent stag
 es of their lives. The facilitator will discuss how this early trauma mani
 fests in various ways as adoptees grow from infants to adults\; including 
 forming relationships and understanding their identity. Through expert ins
 ights and personal stories\, this workshop will reveal the long-term eﬀe
 cts of early family separation and how adoptees cope with these complex ex
 periences over time. \nHelpful techniques to promote resilience and healin
 g will also be oﬀered\, as well as valuable knowledge and tools to bette
 r understand and support adoptees who have experienced the trauma of famil
