 oster Parent Association-In-person foster parent training and supports ar
 e hosted at Straight from the Heart (SFTH) in collaboration with the North
  County Foster Parent Association (NCFPA). These meetings provide a suppor
 tive environment for foster\, adoptive\, and kinship caregivers to share e
 xperiences\, navigate the child welfare system\, and earn required trainin
 g hours.\n\nTopic: When children experience abuse\, abandonment\, or othe
 r deep hurts\, the adults in their lives may not know how to help them. Ma
 ny people believe topics like psychological healing only belong to the pro
 fessionals. But “professionals\,” however helpful they may be\, do not
  have enough time to impact children in the same way as those who are invo
 lved with them daily. This training is designed to help parents and caregi
 vers support the children and adolescents in their lives who are overcomin
 g the damage caused by an abusive relationship or other types of traumas.\
 nComing together in a supportive environment to help one another.\nThis is
