DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker: Sue Badeau\nSue is the lifetime mom of 22 childr
 en by birth and adoption\, with experience caring for dozens more children
  in foster care and juvenile justice\, and has a 30+ year professional bac
 kground. Sue offers the perfect marriage of lived experience with profess
 ional expertise. She delivers all of this with warmth\, humor\, and down t
 o earth realism.\n\n\nDescription: In recent years\, there has been a stro
 ng focus for agencies\, organizations and individuals working with childre
 n and families to become trauma-informed. However\, to truly meet the comp
 lex needs of children\, families and communities\, it’s important to mov
 e beyond trauma-informed to becoming trauma-responsive. During this intera
 ctive in –person training\, the presenter will offer strategies for imp
 lementing trauma-responsive and resiliency-building approaches to engageme
 nt on a daily basis.\nThe objectives participants will learn:\n\n\n 	Defin
 e the difference between being trauma-informed and trauma-responsive\n 	G
 ain skills at implementing at least 3 trauma-responsive strategies in thei
