SUMMARY:In Person | Mental Health: The Human Library Experience
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Dr. Keisha Clark\n\nDescription: This interactive c
 lass creates a brave and respectful learning space where participants expl
 ore complex realities that shape mental health within BIPOC communities. U
 sing a dialogue-centered approach\, participants will engage in listening 
 and discussions that challenge assumptions\, deepen empathy\, and expand u
 nderstanding of lived experiences. We will examine how systems and social 
 expectations affect mental health across the lifespan\, explore identity\,
  belonging\, and self-worth. Exploration of the concept of racial weatheri
 ng\, the cumulative toll that chronic exposure to discrimination takes on 
 emotional well-being will be offered. Participants will learn how generati
 onal and historical complex trauma continue to influence present-day menta
 l health outcomes. Through storytelling and reflection\, participants will
  consider how these intersecting experiences impact child and family well-
 being\, including parenting\, relationships\, community trust\, and engage
 ment with social service systems. Participants will leave with culturally 
 responsive approaches to supporting mental health and practical strategies
  to reducing stigma\, and promoting healing-centered practices.\nPlease no
