DESCRIPTION:Presented By Foster\, Adoptive &amp\; Kinship Care Education Pr
 ogram &amp\; San Diego Youth Services.\nInstructor: Wendy Kessler is a Gri
 ef Specialist. She is credentialed as a Fellow in Thanatology(the study of
  death\, dying\, and bereavement) by the Association of Death Education an
 d Counseling and is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor by t
 he National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Wendy’s approach to grief work
  is characterized by non judgmental\, compassionate\, strengths-based coun
 seling and the belief that grieving is an essential life skill that must b
 e learned. Her support services include individual counseling\, group faci
 litation\, team training\, and corporate consulting. When the path forward
  through loss is uncertain\, it helps to have a guide.\nDescription: Grief
  is our natural response to loss. A process that is wired into human being
 s so that we can process painful emotions\, identify restorative needs\, a
 dapt to unwanted changes\, and grow through loss. However\, there are mult
 iple factors– internal and external – that complicate grief\, causing 
 this natural process to become stale or derailed. This training will educa
 te Resource Parents and other participants about common grief complication
 s - with a focus on the intersection of trauma and grief. As well as offer
  education on providing trauma-informed grief care\, strategies for bolste
 ring resilience\, and self-care techniques to reduce compassion fatigue an
