Adoles cents who have experienced trauma are more likely to join in high‐risk b ehaviors\, have problems with their peers\, and struggle academically. Fin ding foster and adoptive families who feel prepared to care for these yout h can be difficult. Often\, parents feel they do not know what to do or ma y not have confidence in their abilities to manage the emotional and beha vioral needs of the teen.\n\nThe goal of the CORE Teen curriculum is to pr epare and support new and seasoned resource parents willing to care for ol der children. By providing multiple opportunities to increase resource par ent’s knowledge and skills\, and by maximizing the application of new kn owledge and skills\, families will be more prepared to care for older yout h in their homes\; maintain these placements and increase permanent resour ces for youth.\n\n \;\nRegistration will close on Friday\, February 25 \, 2022 at 12pm\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the onl ine platform called Zoom.
