Family councils help develop each family member’s communication skills, leadership qualities, and self‐esteem. They enrich family relationships, improve teamwork, and help families make decisions and resolve conflicts in ways that meet everyone’s needs. Since family councils are one of the most important communication tools parents can use, it’s important to know how to use them skillfully, avoiding common pitfalls that can create new problems. Attend this workshop to learn several council formats you can use, based on the ages of your children and your goals.
