Intimate partner violence between adolescents is often referred to as teen dating violence.  Some theories suggest that the experience of maltreatment or exposure to family violence in childhood increases the risk of later violent interpersonal behavior either due to learned, traumatic reactions or attachment issues.  This can be particularly true of foster teens.  We will look at ways to help foster teens recognize unhealthy relationships.
