Promises of Riches, Minors Targeted to Smuggle Drugs: What You Need To Know!

Date/Time
01/30/2019 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Location
San Diego County Foster Parent Assoc.

Type of Class

Instructor: U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration

Due to a recent uptick in juveniles smuggling drugs across the border, it is important to understand the warning signs and consequences of drug smuggling. Drug traffickers abuse the naïve immaturity of juveniles by offering them money, electronics, and other incentives in exchange for illegally crossing drugs into the U.S. While the juveniles are being told that they won’t receive severe legal punishments because of their age, that is simply not true.

This workshop will provide training on preventing your child from being used to smuggle drugs, the signs to watch for that indicate involvement with drug smuggling, and the real consequences for juveniles smuggling drugs across the border.
