Permanency Matters
Instructors: Nicole Espinosa, LCSW & Lisa Uribe, Foster/Adoptive Parent
When children are placed in out-of-home care (a.k.a. foster care), it is imperative that they be placed in safe, permanent homes for them as quickly as possible. In most circumstances, children can be reunited with their families, but in some cases children find homes with relatives or adoptive families. This workshop will help bring awareness regarding the importance of permanency for all foster youth. This workshop will help guide caregivers through the permanency process to help ensure safe, stable, and long-lasting outcomes for children.
