September is National Suicide Prevention month and it is imperative that caregivers be informed about suicide prevention and warning signs of suicide especially because research states that foster care youth are at a higher risk. QPR is designed to give trainees the basic skills necessary to recognize the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide, how to offer hope and how to help save a life.
