Many adoptions within San Diego involve children and parents of different race and ethnicities. Building a family through transracial adoption requires awareness and skills to help your child navigate the issues of adoption, race and identity. This month’s Bridges to Parenting Group will discuss some of the issues raised in transracial adoptions and how to support youth in positive identity development and maintain connection to their history and culture.
