Come be a “Villager”
03/08/2018 | 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Type of Class
Instructors: Denise Behan, Senior Protective Services Worker
We all know that it takes a village to raise a child. The transition from youth to young adult can be challenging for both the child and the caregiver. This training will cover the services that will help support you in the rewarding journey with your youth towards independence.
The Extended Foster Care (EFC) and Independent Living Skills (ILS) programs will be discussed and your questions will be answered. Together with you, these programs can reinforce what the youth is being taught at home to move them toward independence. Our “village” will assist youth to become productive adults with a strong foundation.
