Kathie Moehlig and her son Sam are one of the leading authorities on transgender and non-binary youth. This workshop will give foster parents and caregivers the tools and resources they need to deeply understand issues around gender. You will be able to use this knowledge to support, respect and empower transgender, non-binary and gender-questioning foster youth so they can live healthy and authentic lives
Parents and caregivers will learn:
- Understand gender identity – what it is and what it isn’t.
- Understand current state laws around gender identity, and how they affect transgender and non-binary youth in schools, healthcare settings, etc…
- Create a safe and inclusive enviroment for transgender and non-binary youth in your home.
Please note, no childcare provided. Please do not bring babies or children to class. Thank You!
