Moving from one home to another can be hard and scary for anybody! So imagine what it might be like for foster children and youth who get separated from their parents and move away from their home to an unfamiliar place – your place!
This workshop will explore appropriate and effective interventions when transitioning infants, children, and adolescents in foster care.
The participant will:
- Understand the impact a move has on a child
- Develop strategies to lessen the trauma of a move for children
- Recognize the impact of loss felt by the foster family when transitioning children
