Deepening the understanding of the impact of trauma on foster children and caregivers, the ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Science Healing Families workshop is an opportunity to recognize the trauma for both foster children/youth and families. Embracing the capacity of healing and empathy-building, the workshop supports the practical application of tools and resources supporting foster youth and families’ and caregivers well-being.

About the Instructor: Dana is a Commissioner on the City of San Diego Commission on Gang Prevention & Intervention and Chair of the Youth Committee. She is the co-chair of the San Diego Trauma-Informed Guide Team and is on the leadership team of the Clinton Health Matters Initiative.
