Multiple studies have shown that even if children don’t remember their trauma story, their bodies keep the memory of the trauma. Why? Survival!

When caring for children within the foster system, trauma is a fact of life. If effects our children’s behaviors, feelings, ability to trust and attach to others and how their bodies feel. As caregivers, growing our understanding of these effects and being given the tools to not only help our children survive, but also recover and thrive in spite of these trauma’s is essential to being capable caregivers.  In this class you will gain a deeper understanding of the brain and body connection, recognize the power of relationships to hurt and to heal and discover innovative treatments to assist your child and family on the road to recovery.
